Now it's finished!
The quilt back is a P&B Textiles colorweave 108" wide back in the color sky.
This Bismarck palm in our front yard has become my new favorite place to photograph finished quilts. Those branches are unbelievably tough, and cupped on the upper side so binder clips hold the quilt in place. I only had to use a step stool to be able to reach this limb! Plaidish is 65" X 83".
You can find the free Plaidish pattern here.
I'm pretty sure this will be my last 2019 finished quilt. It's number 17- six small quilts; five medium quilts; and six large quilts. I will not make this many quilts in 2020! Linda
Wow! Great scrappy, I love it! Moving it up on the list of someday quilts.
ReplyDeleteLooks great Linda. As you say, you really need to have all the values in the right places to make this design work. Your version looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteWow, you did an awesome job!!! It definitely looks plaid!!! Placement of each piece is critical and you just nailed it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous scrappy quilt!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite"Plaidish" has to be yours Linda! This is a beauty indeed! And I think this pattern needs to go to the top of on my list for 2020!
ReplyDeleteThis is just gorgeous Linda! You've done that pattern proud. I thought (briefly) about adding that pattern to the 2020 to-do list. We'll need to see if energy levels can keep up with the wishlist.
ReplyDeleteI love this quilt!!!
ReplyDeleteWell done with this end of year record.
I love it . . . It's so pretty and cheerful. Great job!
ReplyDeleteThats a beautiful quilt Linda. I really like it.
ReplyDeleteGreat job! Colors work well together.
ReplyDeleteYours is very attractive. I like your fabrics and your quilting.
ReplyDeleteLove this quilt and yours is awesome. Thanks for sharing. It is definitely on my bucket list.
ReplyDeleteVery happy quilt....... I have had the thought for 2020 to make 20 quilts - not bed size quilts but ......... will check back next year to let you know what really happened. Might you be interested in 2020?
ReplyDeleteI just love your scrappy Plaidish quilt. I would have a hard time finding enough darks too. Early plans last month had me making a Christmas version in reds and greens and I even cut a few pieces as I cut for the other Christmas quilts I made. Then reality set in and time ran out. I'd still really like to make one in 2020. Maybe a more scrappy one rather than the holiday version. Or maybe both!
ReplyDeleteLovely version! I really like your quilting plan.
ReplyDeleteWow, that’s a big accomplishment with so many quilts. I have admired this pattern for awhile, and really like your version. It must be a satisfying way to work with values.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love your bright scrappy Plaidish quilt. Thanks for sharing the pattern link. Enjoy the holiday season.
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome quilt! I love it!

Wonderful use of color!! I am mostly sure I would have a difficult time placing the values correctly to come up with this effect. You really did fantastic work with this quilt Linda!
ReplyDeleteI just downloaded the quilt pattern. One question: Block A is 10.5" and Block B and C are 8.5? And yet the directions say to sew a row with Block A and C that are 10.5 inches? Am I missing something here? BY the way just love your finished quilt its beautiful. thanks
