First to be completed was "Bloom." I ended up entering it in the Jacksonville (Florida) quilt show (QuiltFest) where it earned an honorable mention ribbon. Leanne links her finishes to a "Ta Da post," so here's my Ta Da post about Bloom.
Finish number two was "Happy Hexagons," a baby quilt for a great niece born in August. Ta Da post.
Third and last for this quarter was this big (85" X 98") finish: "Roll Roll Cotton Boll" that was given as a wedding gift a couple weeks ago. Ta Da Post.
I will say I did get a lot of free motion quilting done! Miles of thread used, I'm sure.
Here's where to go to see all the other finishes - hundreds of them! Linda
Beautiful quilts! I love Bloom -gorgeous colours!
ReplyDeleteThree out of four. You should be patting yourself on the back--or buying fabric.....
ReplyDeleteAh, its about the quality not the quantity! And these ARE quality finishes, that's for sure!
ReplyDeleteWell done you! And I think 3 out of 4 is pretty good. I have yet to finish one item from my list (but I still have to the end of the year, so there's hope). Congratulations to the honorable mention ribbon, although I think your Bloom quilt deserved more than that. Oh well, there's always a next time.
ReplyDeleteHow great to see all your finishes together. You should be proud - you are way ahead of me.
ReplyDelete3 of 4 is a huge success, esp. when one of the is the Roll Roll Cotton Boll quilt! Beautiful work!
ReplyDeleteYou amaze me! I'm a huge fan of your work!!
ReplyDeleteThese are stunning finishes, Linda! I have never even attempted to make a list because I'm so good at starting and so awful at completing!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on three lovely finishes. I always have to enlarge your pictures so I can see your wonderful quilting. Your know the way I see goals - they are like moving targets. You do your best to reach them and they are always in a state of change as we move into the future. Goals keep us on track, but it's a never ending track.
ReplyDeleteSO much fabulousness Linda!! Very inspiring!
ReplyDeleteSuch great finishes Linda. I'm thinking I need to devote early 2014 to finishes and get over my FMQ barrier.
ReplyDeleteLove all your finishes! Roll Roll Cotton Boll looks especially nice to cuddle under.
ReplyDeleteGreat finishes! Now aren't you glad that you joined in!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your three finishes, isn't it just the most wonderful feeling when that happens.they are all beautiful and your machine quilting is so gorgeous
ReplyDeleteOh, Linda, your finishes are just gorgeous, esp. that first one!
ReplyDeleteOh, it's so good to see the goals completed, I'm happy for you Linda! We too quickly focus on what wasn't done, so celebrate the victory, and let the last one top your next goal list ~
