You know it, Anonymous! It was an unexpected, albeit delightful surprise to learn they were open. I think there were about 20 employees (at least 14 inside the shop) working to guide customers through the drive-up and take, make, and deliver orders... on a very hot and humid day - perfect for eating soft serve ice cream!
Well, I learned from Mr. Marlin, the COO pictured, that Twistee Treats ARE all over the US! He's with the corporation here in Florida with 38 locations across the state. Countless more TTs are not part of the corporation! A friend said she came across a TT in Missouri! So you might Google this... there could be one near you. Maybe?
Hi Laura! I wish the same. I'd love to accompany you so as to indulge myself again. Today (Monday) is the first day they're officially open for business, to paying customers. Then, the grand opening is July 19 on National Ice Cream Day!
My parents started an ice cream stand when I was 2--and I grew up with soft serve and all the special sundaes and milkshakes. It wasn't a franchise, but it was the best! My mother sold the biz many years ago, but it is still open every summer. Great memories and fun there!

You really did it! Great perseverance! Congratulations, Linda. Linda T
