Living Proof Ministries Event

Last week, I attended the Friday evening/Saturday morning Living Proof Ministries event in Tampa at the University of South Florida Sun Dome.

I still haven't come down from the Holy high.

My friend Winnie, who I met through Happy Stitchers and attends our Friday morning "Good Book Study," accompanied me on the bus trip.

While I wouldn't recommend traveling by bus, I would most definitely recommend attending a Living Proof event to hear the inspirational, Spirit-filled speaker Beth Moore, and worship music led by Travis Cottrell. Beth's message from Galatians 6:1-10 is still on my mind and in my heart.

She asked us to memorize: "RE, the most beautiful prefix in history," and spent much time explaining the value of the "re" words in our lives: reverberate, restore, reframe, replant, repent, and remember.

Beth is such an enthusiastic speaker! It was difficult to get a good picture of her because she's always in motion.

On Saturday, she went into the crowd to ask questions.

She then shared a "re" word - RENEW, found on a roll of toilet paper!

All of Beth's Bible studies, devotional books, guides, and more were available for sale. I picked up these. The "Children of the Day" is a workbook for a nine week Bible study of 1 and 2 Thessalonians. I bought it in the hopes I can find an area church that's offering this study!

One of many beautiful moments during this event, was hearing 7,000 women singing praises to God. Who wouldn't be moved by that?! Linda

  1. It's been a long time since I've done a Beth Moore study. I'll have to reacquaint myself with her books that I have at home. Thanks for sharing!

    1. Thanks for your comment, Teresa! I'm unable to reply by email because you're a "no-reply" commenter. Just wanted to say that I agree that Beth's study's are timeless. It's one of the reasons that when we moved, and we completely purged ourselves of extraneous belongings, I kept more than a dozen workbooks. They're available for study whenever I wish.

    2. This reminds me of my time at a Beth Moore event, a precious time of worship for me. Hope you can find a church.

  2. That was a packed house for sure! So glad you enjoyed it. I like bus trips because I don't have to drive and figure out how to get places. And I bet parking would have been a challenge in a private vehicle at this event. I took Beth's online study and have not seen her in person, but she is dynamic.

  3. I've been blessed to attend a couple of these events Linda so I know what you mean by a holy high! I've also led several of her studies and they are favorites of mine and many others. I keep getting ladies asking when the next one will be. I'm not familiar with the "Children..." one though I'd love to do a study of Thessalonians. A nine week study is a good length so I'm going to take a look at it! blessings, marlene
